MISSION

To serve as a sounding board, clearing house, Board of Directors, think tank, facilitator, grant incubator, generator of ideas related to economic development and the like for the purpose of linking businesses, schools, students, parents, and funding to each other in order to continuously improve the school system, its graduates and the community in which they live.

To promote the following concepts or ideas: One Stop Shop; Business Partners; Economic Development; Literacy; Adult Basic Education; Business Connections; Technical Preparation for Students and Adults; Quality Day Care Provisions; Partnership Development; Adult Learning; Children Youth and Families at Risk; School to Work; High Schools That Work; Work-Based Learning; Education First Grants; 21st Century Community Learning Grants; Gear Up (Promote College/Higher Education); Entrepreneurship Promotion; Jobs for Graduates; Lightstone Foundation; information to Board of Education Members, teachers, students, administrators and the public at large (especially business community) as determined by this board.
